The business of growing grapes and making wine has blossomed into one of the most exciting and profitable industries in North Carolina. The science of viticulture and enology will be examined, and a virtual lesson on how wine is made will be presented. The North Carolina Community College System is preparing workers to fill the need for the growing winemaking business in our state. Faculty from Robeson Community College, James Sprunt Community College, and Surry Community College will explain just how their programs are satisfying this need for these well trained workers from the mountains to the coast in an effort to make this growing business one can “toast” around the world.
